These boards include sketches, notes, and loose drawings for characters in a video game. I originally created this concept in grade school, and decided to re-visit it again for a pre-production art illustration project. The inspiration derived from Colonial American art and history.
I created a tight, cohesive color palette in order to draw the player’s eye to specific details in important characters, such as The Maestro’s striped pants or the Tinker Tuners’ form. I created standard poses for each character as well as action poses, putting them all together for the viewer to understand the characters’ proportions from one to another. The game is intended to be a 3-D RPG in a similar visual style to that of the concept art.
